Julian Voss-Andreae — When Physics Becomes Art
Two monumental works by internationally acclaimed artist Julian Voss-Andreae will be exhibited at the festival.
A former quantum physicist, Voss-Andreae studied physics in Berlin, Edinburgh and Vienna before pursuing a career in sculpture. As a graduate researcher, he participated in pioneering quantum physics experiments in the research group of Nobel Prize winner Anton Zeilinger. His scientific background remains at the heart of his artistic practice, where quantum concepts, perception and the nature of reality become powerful visual experiences.
His sculptures invite us to look at familiar ideas — matter, movement, space and reality — from an entirely different perspective.

The Lost Manuscript of von Neumann is a graphic novel combining scientific investigation, history and fiction. Its Qubieducational tool allows people to explore the fundamental principles of quantum computing, experiment with qubits and discover concepts such as entanglement in an intuitive way. Qolour's mission is simple: the world should know quantum.
