Biography

Dr. Ingrid Romijn is the CEO and Co-Founder of Falqon® Systems, a Delft-based leader in secure communications building the infrastructure for scalable Quantum Secure Networks (QSN). Under her leadership, Falqon® Systems is advancing the deployment of quantum secure communication infrastructure across Europe, enabling organisations operating in critical and regulated environments including defence, finance and telecommunications. Before co-founding Falqon® Systems, Dr. Ingrid held leadership roles at QuTech and TU Delft and TNO and contributed to the Dutch National Agenda for Quantum Technology and QDNL. At Falqon® Systems, she drives the transition to quantum secure infrastructure and future quantum internet connectivity. At Falqon® Systems, she leads the company’s evolution towards operational quantum secure infrastructure, strengthening trusted digital connectivity today while laying the foundation for future quantum networking and quantum internet capabilities. Beyond her role at Falqon® Systems, Dr. Ingrid serves on the Advisory Board of Women in Quantum Development (WIQD), where she champions diversity and inclusion within the Dutch quantum technology ecosystem. At the national level, she serves on the board of Holland High Tech (TKI HTSM), supporting the development and alignment of the Dutch deep-tech sector. She holds a PhD in Physics and is deeply committed to translating breakthrough science into technologies that address pressing societal and economic challenges.
