Biography

Sofiane Bahbah joined SEDI-ATI Fibres Optiques in January 2022 as Director of Research and Development. An engineer and PhD holder in nonlinear optics, he began his career in 2001 as a researcher at the Institut d’Optique Graduate School, followed by the École Polytechnique. In 2008, he joined Horiba Jobin Yvon as an R&D Project Manager in the field of spectroscopy. After five years, he was promoted to Head of R&D at HORIBA France. In 2018, he joined SPHEREA (a spin-off from Airbus Defence and Space) as Head of the Optronics Competence Center for the Defense and Aerospace Industry. Sofiane also holds an MBA from Paris Dauphine University (PSL) and the School of Management at UQAM (Montréal).
