- Biography
- Dr. Dmitri Maslov (PhD/2003) is a Distinguished Scientist at IonQ. His research focuses on quantum circuits and architectures, and quantum compiling. The overarching goal is to establish a knowledge base and develop a set of tools for efficient control and utilization of quantum computers. At IonQ, he also provides technical vision and direction for research and development of software, architecture, and related aspects of quantum computing. Before joining IonQ, Dmitri was an L7 Researcher at Google Quantum AI (working in the field of quantum compiling), before that, the Chief Software Architect at IBM Quantum (focusing on software stack for quantum computers), and earlier, a Program Director in the Division of Computing and Communication Foundations, Directorate for Computer & Information Science & Engineering, National Science Foundation (directing investments into Computer Science aspects of Quantum Information Science). He was designated an IEEE Fellow (2021) for his contributions to quantum compilation.
