Biography

Dr. Brad Kim is the Chief Quantum Officer at MegazoneCloud, where he leads global business and R&D initiatives across quantum cloud services, industrial applications, and international partnerships. Previously, he served as Head of the Quantum AI Center at POSCO Holdings, where he advanced quantum algorithms for materials discovery and manufacturing optimization. He was also a founding member of LG Electronics’ Quantum Computing Application Team and later chaired the LG Group Quantum Computing Working Group, where he led group-wide quantum strategy and collaborations with IBM and Google, focusing on applications in quantum chemistry and AI/ML. Earlier in his career, Brad built a strong technical foundation in semiconductor innovation, holding senior engineering leadership roles at Intel and LG, specializing in SoC and AI chip development. Brad actively contributes to the global quantum ecosystem. He served as the founding Chairman of the Korea Quantum Industry Association (KQIA) and currently holds the position of Vice Chairman. He is also a member of Korea’s Quantum Strategy Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister. He is a frequent speaker at leading international forums, including Q2B, the OECD-Korea Forum, and the Quantum World Congress. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is the author of multiple patents and publications in quantum computing, AI, and semiconductor design.
