- Biography
- Elham Kashefi is Chief Scientist and Co-Founder of VeriQloud SAS (Paris), Europe's dedicated company productising blind and verifiable quantum computation. She holds the Chair of Quantum Computing at the University of Edinburgh, where she directs the Quantum Software Lab, and is Director of Research at CNRS / Sorbonne Université (LIP6); she also serves as Chief Scientist of the UK's National Quantum Computing Centre. She co-founded the fields of secure quantum cloud computing and quantum verification. Her research lineage spanning twenty-year arc that is now shipping into product through VeriQloud's VQ Control Plane, the trust layer for the quantum cloud, pairing QEnclave (cryptographic privacy) with QAssure (verifiable correctness) across all hardware platforms. Author of 170+ peer-reviewed papers and 300+ invited talks, she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (2024), winner of the French Margaret Intrapreneur Europe Award (2021), co-author of the EU Quantum Software Manifesto, and holder of successive EPSRC Advanced, Established and Strategic Career Fellowships.
