- Founder of Quantum Africa, a pioneering initiative dedicated to advancing quantum research, education, and innovation across the African continent, PhD researcher at the Niels Bohr Institute, NQCP, University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on the next generation of fault-tolerant quantum computers, with an emphasis on quantum compilation and optimization for quantum error correction. With experience spanning quantum algorithms, quantum machine learning, and quantum computing applications, Yousra has been recognized with the Quantum Rising Star Award for Women in Quantum and the Arab Pioneers Award in Quantum Computing. Through her research and community-building efforts, she is committed to building research capacity, fostering international collaborations, and positioning Africa as an active contributor to the global quantum ecosystem.
