Biography

Sophie-Carolin Wagner is an expert in Digital Technologies at the Vienna Business Agency, where she advises companies on Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Visual Computing, among other areas. Her academic background spans Economics, Digital Arts, and Media Theory, and her work focuses on cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary questions surrounding technology. She is a co-founder of the Research Institute for Arts and Technology (RIAT), and was responsible for implementing ONB Labs at the Austrian National Library. Her recent publications include “Artificial Intelligence in Vienna” (2024) and “The Social Problem of Technology” (2022).
