Information
- Biography
- Christophe Domain is a Senior Research Scientist at EDF R&D, graduated from ESPCI ParisTech and PhD from Lille University. He is working on multiscale modelling of microstructures, from the atomic to the mesoscopic scale, with applications to materials ageing under thermal and irradiation effects, as well as to battery materials. He has been involved in several European research projects. He is EDF’s scientific coordinator for the joint EDF-CNRS laboratory EM2VM (Microstructure Studies and Modelling for Materials Ageing), a partnership between EDF R&D, UMET at the University of Lille, and GPM at the University of Rouen. He also led a project dedicated to nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. He is the author or co-author of 210 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters (h-index: 63). Since 2019, he has been working on the development of quantum computing approaches to enhance materials simulations. In 2025, he became the head of the EDF R&D project on quantum technologies.
