Company Profile: FastCompChem is a Portuguese computational chemistry company specialising in quantum-mechanical modelling for molecular safety assessment. Its core technology, ESigns (Electronic Signatures), derives electronic-structure descriptors that capture the chemical reactivity underlying toxicity, enabling mechanism-informed predictions rather than purely statistical correlations. FastCompChem is a core contributor to QUANTUM-TOX, an EU-funded EIC Pathfinder project developing ESigns-based approaches to predict toxicity endpoints such as covalent binding and skin sensitisation, in line with OECD Adverse Outcome Pathway frameworks.
